Live-Action Neon Genesis Evangelion Opening
Not even sure what words could do this justice. It’s pure beauty.
“Shinji’s” expressions shine brightest, to me.

I’ve built just enough (far too many) IKEA creations and seen the relevant sci-fi classics just enough (NEVER enough) times to find these fake manuals goddamned brilliant.
I demand posters. Immediately.

It should be considered treason for any citizen of a former British colony to give the slightest shit about the royal wedding.
Was our revolution for nothing?
Must we still suffer?!

OOHHH MYY GODDDDD

Wait, I thought The Onion was a satirical site? Does this mean they’re branching out into legitimate journalism now? ‘Cause there’s no way this isn’t true.

Afrodisiac: Freesiac.
Good lord I love this comic.
Now as an enormous fan of Jim Rugg’s earlier (awesome, hilarious) masterpiece, Street Angel, I bought Afrodisiac the day it came out. But for all those other folks who don’t know what they’ve been missing, the entire comic has now been put online - for free - in celebration of its recent, well-deserved nomination for an Eisner Award.

Oh look, another pretty white girl went missing!
National news media, GO!
Japan? Old news. Multiple wars? What a drag! People dying and suffering every day all over the country? Ehhh…where’s the hook?
A pretty white girl’s been abducted!

…okay, I’m really just pissed ‘cause the headline I clicked made me think I was going to read about a stolen monkey. “Bobo”? Come on.

BILBO’S BACK
Who’d think a vague behind-the-scenes video would get me a little choked up?* Well the last few seconds of this one in particular do a good job of that.
And now I’ll be humming “Concerning Hobbits” all day…

*Hey, it’s not the first time that’s happened. And certainly not the first time in relation to Hobbits…

Portal 2: The Prequel Comic (that has sex with your eyes and brain)
The folks at Valve behind the Portal games have produced their own in-house (and it shows), in-continuity tie-in comic, with the help of professional comic awesomedude Michael Avon Oeming (Powers, Mice Templar, etc etc etc). “Lab Rat” focuses on Doug ‘Rat Man’ Rattmann, who you’d only know of in the first game from various hidden scribblings and hints on the walls. Now we see his backstory - along with Aperture Labs’ and GLaDOS’s - and what happens to game protagonist Chell between the end of the first game and the start of the next.
The comic is actually rather fantastic. Also: free! You can read the whole thing on their official website, or even download it as a PDF.
Anticipation for this game: at all-time high.
